The story around here - rain and reworking your schedule around the rain. Seriously may have to do 'hill repeats' on the suck mill. I'm running out of days in the week and it looks like lots of rain still in the forecast. BUTTTT, next week is my favorite week, that's right...RECOVERY WEEK. I love them, I don't care what you say. They are what I strive for each and every day, just one...step...closer...to...a...recovery week. Woohoo! On tap, besides sleep is the Government Mule concert at the Ryman Auditorium. Oh yes, if Nashville has one thing, it's good live music and a lot of it.
In the bank this week, one bike, one run, one strength, one swim. Two bikes, two runs, one strength and one more swim to go. Crap! And it's Thursday already. Guess who will be partying it up on a trainer this Friday nite? I can feel it, can you?

After posting that race schedule, you were no doubt too tired to do anything till you had recovered. Just reading that list made me tired.
I am about to lose my breakfast with pic number 2
Trainer Friday, I'm in!!
there are so many things wrong with #2, I won't go there. I like recovery weeks too :)
I have no explanation...none...btw...I have a tough enough time keeping up with my own blog....little lone....yours too....keep it up though...always makes me smile..and sometimes laugh...
i was just asked yesterday what the hell i was training for that required so much mileage so early in the season. "TTT" and there was total understanding.
Soak up that recovery!
i wish so bad i had a coach to give me recovery weeks. damn girl.
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am deeply disturbed by photo#2.
I thought I was off by a day missing out on your semi wordless Wednesday, and here it was just you with your HUA sitation. Thank God, I'm ok now! Must have been too much quarter diving!!!!
MLK day off?? LUCKYYYYY!!!
We get Leif Ericsson Day.
You don't run in the rain? What's that all about?!
HUA syndrome....I love that! I think I'll use that saying too...ha ha!
What is up with pic #2??? Gross!
Suddenly, I picture you on the trainer Friday night with beer in a sippy cup in the cup holder or on a window ledge. ;)
I'm in taper mode for the Miami Marathon, but dang, your schedule makes me feel like a wimp. Someone is back on the horse in a big way.
Photo #2 is hilarious! Love the tie. It matches nicely with the ripped jeans.
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch -- anyone who throws up a reference to the old school Mark Wahlberg is way cool in my book!
I too got screwed up because of the holiday. Thought today was Wed, which is yard trash day and pulled out all this stuff that has been waiting to be picked up for over a month (couldn't do it while on vacation). Crap, now that stuff will have to wait another week ...
I'm amazed the guy in the second photo can even do a flying side kick. The split pants, not surprising given his size.
monday didnt mess me up because i was working :( BOOOO!
we are getting SO much rain here too. i have just come to terms with the fact i am going to get soaked :)
so far the rain has not impacted my training et all. I have to ride on the trainer at night right now anywho. I've been dreaming up some interesting workouts. Sure does help pass the time.
Thanks for making my laugh - LOVE pic #2... hehehe! :)
Its your schedule - you get to pick and choose what works best for YOU. AND what sounds the most fun. OR - just go by which race gives the best schwag... :)
Oh - I totally hear you on the rain. We've gotten 4 days straight, and are in for more. Have fun on the trainer and work that dreadmill like there's no tomorow!
looks like somebody found a "before" pic, but why the tie? at least he has good form.
you guys have been getting the rain this week. it's nuts.
your weekly photo expose always makes me chuckle! Keep going, sounds like training is going well. that singlet will fit perfect! Cheers
I forgot what I was gonna say. Just thought I'd let you know I read it, at least.
The dudes in #1 and #2 have both seen better days. Let's hope they can break out of their current slumps.
And why can't every week be a recovery week?
